We have invested 30 years in improving our soil. The superior quality of our produce now shows the beneficial effects of three decades to dedication to the cause of heath: soil, plant, and people. Our first priority has always been to grow vegetables and fruits that will be nutrient rich, capable of supporting human wellness. This is the legacy that we now pass on to our CSA members.
A small team of dedicated staff and “Symbionts” (students, apprentices, co-workers) work to plan, plant, nurture, and harvest everything that goes into the weekly CSA produce boxes. This means that most of your produce will have been picked within 24 hours of arriving at your pick-up site. The only way you could get it fresher is if you grew it in your own back yard. (And if you’d like to do that, we have a program to assist you. Just ask us.)
Knowing where and how your food is grown is an essential part of wholesome living that very few experience. This puts our CSA members into an elite club, a country club.
Educational opportunities and chances to participate in farm-related activities abound for our members: Learn about organic, biological, sustainable, eco and biodynamic farming methods. Learn to grow your own berries, vegetables, grapes or herbs. Participate in special classes and workshops on farming, food and human wellness. Have a relaxing stroll by our beautiful lake, or picnic with your family in our serene, stress-reducing recreational grounds.
Our local pick up sites mean that you can pick up your weekly box from wherever it is most convenient for you. And more are in the works. Hosting a drop site can be a fulfilling and social way for individuals to actively participate in the local food movement. For businesses, it is not only a goodwill gesture, but may even bring extra traffic through their doors. If you are interested in hosting a drop-off/pick-up site, please contact us.

Your weekly boxes will be gently packed with 7 to 10 or even more varieties of fresh, seasonal produce. Early in the season, expect the fast-growing crops: spinach, lettuce, arugula, radishes, baby beets with tops, herbs and other greens. Strawberries are typically ready the 3rd week of June, together with the first greenhouse tomatoes. As the season progresses, more and more fabulous produce becomes available. See our availability projection that estimates the approximate maturity of our (YOUR) crops.
Every week you will receive an email newsletter filled with information about the farm, seasonal recipe ideas, interesting eco-farming information and nutritional/health information. This newsletter is our way of maintaining a regular connection with our CSA community, and your way of staying informed about the day-to-day progress of YOUR fruits and vegetables. Through the newsletter and the CSA you will share in all the joys of farming… and the occasional disappointment as well. We’ll aim to send the newsletter over the weekend so you can plan ahead for Tuesday's pick up.
Deliveries will be every Tuesday, starting June 12, continuing for 19 consecutive weeks, and ending with the October 16th delivery. You will be able to get your share from your pick-up site during the scheduled times
The food we consume becomes us. That’s why it is so critical to know its source and handlers. Food supplies the building blocks of our physical body and the energy for its operation. The end result can be no better than the sum of its inputs. We are today what we consumed in the past.
It's not too late! We are still accepting sign-ups for our Mid-Season Share!
